Recent data shows patients receive the same quality care from locum tenens providers as they do with non-locum providers. Some in the healthcare industry, have argued that locum tenens could negatively affect patient care due mainly to unfamiliarity of the different hospitals and their operations. As the use of locum providers increases throughout hospital systems nationwide,  we are seeing these discussions silenced through current data. Locums continue to be a vital part of our healthcare system and more importantly providing quality care for patients.
